Two-pan balance in antique style with five brass weights – 1930-40

Elegant two-pan balance, with a classic taste, with an overall height of about 40 cm.

Features a central turned wooden column, mounted on a rectangular base, and an upper arm in non-magnetic metal, presumably bronze, characterized by refined ornamental workmanship with symmetric scrolls.

The two metallic pans are suspended by chains. The base houses five removable brass weights.

The balance is functional and features construction characteristics inspired by traditional bench scales and pharmacy scales.

Era: roughly attributable to the 20th century, in 19th-century style.

Conditions: good apparent overall condition, with normal signs of aging and use, as visible in the photograph.

Decorative and collectible item, suitable for classic interiors, professional offices, and collections of antique instruments.

Bilancia a due piatti in stile antico con cinque pesetti in ottone – 1930-40 

Elegante bilancia a due piatti, di gusto classico, con altezza complessiva di circa 40 cm.

Presenta una colonna centrale in legno tornito, montata su base rettangolare, e un braccio superiore in metallo non magnetico, presumibilmente bronzo, caratterizzato da una raffinata lavorazione ornamentale con volute simmetriche.

I due piatti metallici sono sospesi mediante catenelle. La base ospita cinque pesetti rimovibili in ottone.

La bilancia è funzionante e presenta caratteristiche costruttive ispirate ai tradizionali strumenti di pesatura da banco e da farmacia.

Epoca: attribuibile indicativamente al XX secolo, in stile ottocentesco. 

Condizioni: buono stato generale apparente, con normali segni del tempo e dell'utilizzo, come visibile in fotografia.
