Description from the seller
Complete Liquor Set 6 Cups + Tray - Solid Silver 900 Egypt Lotus Hallmark - Hand-engraved 1946-1970
*CATEGORIE:*
Silver > Trays & Liquor Sets
*BESCHRIJVING:*
For sale: a very decorative complete liquor set consisting of 1 large tray and 6 matching cups, all in solid Egyptian silver.
The set is richly hand-engraved all around with Arabic calligraphy, arabesques and fish motifs. On the tray the inscription "Bismillah". Typical work from the bazaars of Cairo, made for the tourist market but still in solid silver.
*Gemerkt:*
All cups and the tray are stamped with the official Egyptian silver hallmarks with 3 fields:
- Left: Cairo hallmark + fineness 900 (٩٠٠)
- Middle: Lotus flower = symbol for silver (imported October 1946)
- Right: Date letter
This is therefore guaranteed *900/1000 solid silver*, made after 1946. No silver-plated or alpaca.
Conditie: In goede vintage staat. Mooie diepe gravures met originele patina. Geen deuken. Een paar bekers hebben lichte gebruikskrasjes binnenin, normaal voor leeftijd. Niet gepoetst, juist zo het mooist.

- Samenstelling: 1x dienblad + 6x borrelbekers / likeurbekers
