Description from the seller
Main Technical Features
Tuning: B-flat (Bb)
Bore: .460" / 11.68 mm (Medium-Large / Large), designed to ensure a smooth air flow without excessive resistance.
Leadpipe: Machine-made from a single piece of solid brass (machined from solid brass rod). Since there are no welds along the leadpipe and the mouthpiece receiver, the transmission of vibrations is exceptionally uniform across all registers.
Bell: Large-diameter Custom Taylor design (about 5.75" / 146 mm) in a thick high-brass alloy, to ensure a warm, dark, dense, and projected sound.
Valve Group: 3 high-precision stainless steel pistons with smooth, fast action.
Water Keys: 2 Amado-type water keys (on the main slide and on the third slide), compact to reduce internal air turbulence.
Keywork and Design: Phat Finger Ring spacer rings on the 1st and 3rd valves with set-screw stops, and heavy-duty blocks/reinforcements typical of the visual and acoustic "Chicago" style.
Finish: Hand-brushed brass (satin/brushed) raw/brushed finish.
Sound Profile and Use
Tone: Rich in harmonics, deep and full-bodied. Maintains a warm core even at higher volumes without ever becoming shrill or unpleasant.
Versatility: Compared to the Chicago Standard model (much heavier), the Lite version offers a more immediate air emission and less fatigue during long sessions, making it ideal for Jazz / Ensemble / Solo contexts as well as commercial music and brass sections.
