Description from the seller
Minerva Deutsche Heer – WWII Military Wristwatch, Early 1940s - ref.8711
A rare Minerva military wristwatch from the Second World War, offering a remarkable glimpse into the past. Finding these watches today is increasingly difficult, especially in such an untouched, unrestored original condition. A genuine time capsule, retaining the character and details of a watch that has survived more than eight decades.
The black dial, bold luminous Arabic numerals and small seconds display reflect the purposeful design of the era. The caseback is engraved “BODEN EDELSTAHL” and D 641484 H.
Case: Chrome-plated, 34,1mm without crown, with visible wear to the plating. Stainless steel caseback.
Dial: Original and exceptionally well preserved.
Hands: Original luminous hands.
Crystal: Clear, without scratches.
Crown: Original.
Strap: Original vintage leather strap, showing signs of age.
Movement: Mechanical, running accurately within vintage tolerances. Service history unknown.
An increasingly scarce opportunity to acquire an authentic WWII-era Minerva, valued not for cosmetic perfection but for its originality, historical character and remarkable state of preservation. An honest survivor from another era.
