Pair of gilded wooden decorations with angels. (2) - Wood, Plaster - 1960-1970

Pair of gilded wooden decorations with angels – Vintage decorative craftsmanship, 1970

Pair of decorative elements in gessoed wood, finely carved and finished with gilded decoration, depicting angelic faces surrounded by botanical motifs, leaves, scrolls and ornaments in Baroque and Rococo style. The raised details and the gilding give the pieces a rich, ornamental appearance, ideal for religious-inspired decorations or for restoring antique furniture.

On the back there are handwritten notes: "R.G. 1970" on the larger piece and further initials and numbers on the smaller piece, including a reference apparently tied to 1970. The inscriptions may indicate dating, an inventory, or a work reference, but do not allow a definite determination of their origin.

Both pieces show signs of age and wear to the finish, consistent with their lived-in appearance.
Traditional-style decorative objects, sold as a pair.

The dimensions refer to the larger piece.
