Friedrich August Gross (1891-1970) - Flusslandschaft mit Park- und Turmansicht

River landscape with park and tower view

Atmospheric, harmoniously composed landscape depiction of a gently winding river, lined by stately deciduous trees and delicate birches. In the background the dense vegetation reveals a view of a bright building with a characteristic tower roof. The composition is characterized by an balanced play of light and shadow as well as fine reflections of the treetops and the sky on the water surface. The color palette is composed of calming greens, blues, and earth tones.
