Cyril Keller - Neues Licht

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland.

My enthusiasm for art began in the early 1990s with graffiti. Even back then, colors, shapes, and the possibility of giving my ideas a distinct expression fascinated me. This passion continues to form the foundation of my work to this day.

I was especially shaped by my teacher and mentor, the artist Parscha Mirghawameddin. With him I learned to paint. His sense of color, his eye for composition, and his artistic experience were of great importance for my development. As his student, I was able to benefit from a knowledge and a passion that accompany me to this day.

I am very grateful to Parscha for sharing his experiences with me and for supporting me on my artistic path. Learning from him was a special opportunity for me. On this basis I developed my own visual language and found my personal approach to painting.

Since 2015 I have devoted myself with great enthusiasm to abstract art. I am especially fascinated by the squeegee technique: the interplay of color layers, the textures that arise, and the surprising forms that give each painting its own character. In this process, learned craftsmanship merges with intuition and the joy of experimentation.

My paintings are meant to enliven spaces, evoke emotions, and bring joy to their viewers for a long time. Each work leaves room for one's own thoughts and discoveries. It is precisely this openness that makes abstract painting so special to me: a painting can mean something different for every person and reveal new aspects again and again over time.

With every canvas I develop my work further — carried by my artistic roots, the valuable impulses of my teacher, and the desire to create something of my own.
