AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Dimensions: 26 cm high, 13 cm wide, 11 cm deep.
Bronze ape sculpture – contemporary animal figure after Banksy, with a message on a marble plinth.
This expressive bronze sculpture shows a standing ape with a bent head and a striking inscription on its chest. The figure is a provocative yet humorous portrayal of contemporary animal art, combining a deliberately minimalist, lightly caricatured style with meticulous details in the fur and facial features. The pose appears calm and contemplative, while the message delivers clear social critique.
The contrast between the archaic-looking animal figure and the modern text gives the sculpture its unique effect. The bronze has a warm patina and sits on a massive marble plinth, which grounds the sculpture visually and gives it extra presence.
The sculpture is signed – Banksy – and is stylistically inspired by well-known motifs from contemporary street art.
It is a high-quality artwork or reproduction, suitable as a striking collectible and as an exceptional interior piece.
