Description from the seller
Air France onboard menu for the Paris–New York Concorde service, with a color illustrated cover by Christian Lacroix. The illustration titled “Oceania” represents an allegory of Oceania. The text on the back specifies that the couturier created for Air France a series of five allegories symbolizing the five continents. The interior presents, in French and English, the lunch and the wine list. The meal includes, in particular, an aperitif accompanied by caviar, duck foie gras with spiced fruits, sea bass in saffron sauce, followed by a strawberry tart. The section “Our Concorde Cellar” mentions the selection by sommelier Philippe Faure-Brac. Among the wines offered are a Meursault 1990, a Monthélie Premier Cru 1992, a Château Moulin Saint-Georges 1993 and a Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 1992. Document gathering themes of aviation, gastronomy and fashion design. Condition: good overall according to photographs, with light soiling, small marks and edge folds, notably on the cover. Text and illustration well preserved. No autograph identified; the signature present in the drawing is printed. Closed format: 29.7 × 21 cm. Four unnumbered pages. Exact flight date not indicated.
