Prussian German infantry Pickelhaube helmet used during World War I WWI with the eagle in the gold version already in use by the late 1800s.
Very beautiful item, a real relic of the Great War 1915-1918 used on the French and Italian fronts by German troops.
A gorgeous collectible piece, with signs of age and of the care taken by whoever recovered and preserved it for over 100 years. The cockades and chinstrap are not present, but this relic was brought home by a Frenchman as it appears in the auction.
The badge is fixed directly to the leather; there are no fasteners for the badge.
The helmet’s interior is perfectly preserved with soft leather.
The outer leather preservation is spectacular.
I have included many photos to appreciate it and provide every detail of the exterior, the leather, and the spike-less Pickelhaube. The leather is still soft and elastic.

Elmo Pickelhaube Prussiano Tedesco da truppa usato nel corso della Prima Guerra Mondiale WW1 con l'aquila in versione dorata in uso già alla fine del 1800. 
Oggetto molto bello, vero cimelio della Grande Guerra 1915-1918 usato sul fronte Francese e Italiano dalle truppe tedesche.
Bellissimo pezzo da collezione, con segni del tempo e di mantenimento di chi lo ha recuperato e conservato per oltre 100 anni. Non presenti le coccarde e soggolo, ma questo cimelio è stato riportato da un francese a casa così come si presenta in asta.
Fregio fissato direttamente al cuoio, non ci sono i fermi al fregio.
L'elmo ha tutto il suo interno perfettamente conservato con pelle morbida.
Conservazione del cuoio esterno spettacolare.
Ho inserito moltissime foto per apprezzarlo e dare ogni dettaglio del fuori, della pelle e del pickelhaube senza punta. Il cuoio è ancora morbido ed elastico.
