Description from the seller
Scheurich – vintage ceramic vase / ewer “Inka” – West-Germany – 60s/70s
Characterful vintage ceramic vase or ewer from the German manufacturer Scheurich, featuring the decorative relief pattern “Inka”.
The amber to ocher-brown glaze emphasizes the repeating geometric relief bands around the body. The tapered neck, wide opening and striking side handle give the piece a strong silhouette. The bright ocher-yellow interior forms a nice contrast with the warm tones on the outside.
The bottom bears an impressed model number and the designation “W. Germany”, as visible in the photo.
Condition: vintage condition with patina and signs of use appropriate to the age. Inside there is a hairline running from the upper edge downward. This is clearly visible in the detail photo. This is explicitly noted as part of the condition. The vase is offered as a decorative object; waterproofing has not been tested.
A atmospheric piece of West German ceramic for a vintage interior or a collection.
