Description from the seller
New Series - Crypto Comics - The Simpsons set against a backdrop of .. Simpsons
Crypto Rock Special Series - Photo reconstitution using photographs of the depicted artist.
Photographer Artist – Creator of contemporary images
Multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in the urban space. He first made himself known with a series devoted to window display mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.
New series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons
The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary re-reading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work rests on a mosaic construction composed of thousands of micro-graphic sub‑compositions. From afar, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it unveils a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts like a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject represented. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. Thorough work is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent way.
Edition & Manufacturing
Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Prints are made on aluminum with integrated rear mounting. Printing on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum panels, with flexible UV and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, great longevity, color stability and a modern, contemporary look
Parcours
Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty contemporary art fairs each year in France and Europe. He is also a contracted photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual activity, he develops writer-artist and musician work including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the group FRENZY.
