Description of the Work:
"Hidden Vertigo, Angel's Leap I" is an acrylic painting on canvas of medium format (please insert real dimensions here), where the artist explores the duality between the physicality of painting and the suggested representation of an extreme landscape.
The work is vertically structured, dominated by two powerful white and fluid columns that descend in parallel from the upper central part toward a mass of dark water at the base. These white forms immediately evoke the violent fall of a twin waterfall, capturing the movement, the foam, and the raw energy of the water as it descends.
The setting of the waterfall is not a realistic landscape, but a rugged and textured terrain, almost geological, composed of overlapped layers of dense acrylic paint. Earthy tones, ochre, slate gray, dark green and bursts of burnt orange create an organic and robust palette.
