"With this work, I invite the viewer into a space of visceral contemplation about the power of geology and water. My intention was not to paint a specific place, but the essence of an experience: the moment when a pure and liquid force cuts an immovable form of ancient stone.
The waterfall is a crack of light and life, a stroke of intense white that makes its way through dense and complex layers of color. These layers, applied with a gestural and rich texture, represent the age of the mountain, with its iron oxides, its mosses, and its deep shadows. By blending the boundaries between abstraction and figuration, the painting allows each observer to find their own relationship with this elemental landscape.
I have sought to capture the balance between the eternal movement of the falling water and the immobility of the surrounding rock. It is a celebration of raw force, the beauty of the untamed, and the visual harmony of the most extreme contrasts."
