Description from the seller

Baccarat – Set of 4 Antique Crystal Glasses – Gouvieux Shape – Chinoiserie Decoration – France, Late 19th / Early 20th Century

An elegant set of four antique crystal glasses in the distinctive Gouvieux shape, associated with the renowned French crystal manufacturer Baccarat.

The glasses feature a beautifully balanced silhouette, with wide, shallow bowls, short stems decorated with a central ring-shaped baluster, and delicately faceted bases.

Their most distinctive feature is the refined Chinoiserie decoration, depicting an elegant Oriental pagoda surrounded by flowing foliage, ornamental scrolls, and delicate geometric motifs.

The intricate acid-etched design creates a soft, frosted effect that contrasts beautifully with the clarity and brilliance of the crystal.

These glasses are particularly suitable for serving champagne, dessert wines, port, madeira, or liqueurs. They also make an attractive addition to a collection of antique French crystal.
