The work depicts a classic still life in Flemish Academic style, characterized by a rich and well-balanced composition, where light and dark grape clusters are skillfully shaded, peaches rest on a metallic plate with silver reflections, and a dark-toned ornamental vase serves as the background. A chalice containing amber liquid catches the light, creating a striking contrast with the warm, enveloping tones of the drapery and the backdrop.
The painting technique reveals excellent mastery of chiaroscuro and the volumetric rendering of the fruits. The painting is hand-signed at the bottom right by the artist M. Aaron, a painter renowned for his decorative works and atmospheric still lifes.
