Title: The Vortex of the Metropolis
Measurements: 70x70 cm
Year: 2026
Marco Valli is an Italian artist whose painting research focuses on the contemporary urban landscape, examined as a space of memory and perception. His works arise from architectural fragments and metropolitan vistas that are progressively simplified and layered through glazes, erasures, and material overlays.
The city, in his canvases, loses its narrative dimension to become a silent surface, suspended between presence and dissolution. Figures and details emerge as temporary traces, suggesting a slowed time and an introspective vision of urban space.
NB: The work will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
