Splendid and very rare vintage shoulder bag signed Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, dating from the mid-70s. This exceptional archival model perfectly embodies the equestrian and boho-chic haute couture aesthetics introduced by the couturier in that decade, a timeless design that visibly inspired the modern, successful models of the historic Parisian houses.

- Exterior Material: Valued cowhide (vegetable-tanned) with a natural, thick, and porous texture, featuring a beautiful honey/leather patina acquired over time. The edges are artisan-cut raw and non-tinted.
- Interior: Fully lined in luxurious soft beige suede. Includes a main pleated pocket, a flat front pocket, and an internal security pocket with an original metal zipper from the period.
- Details and Closure: Characteristic front geometric vertical slit closure with a coordinated tab. Flat leather strap adjustable via snap buttons cladded in leather.
- Logos and Stamps: Historic logo "Yves Saint Laurent PARIS" clearly heat-embossed under the inner zipper (with the letters N and T connected, typical of the 70s). Internal leather tab stamped in gold with the wording "MADE IN ITALY".

The bag is structurally solid and usable, but shows the classic visible signs of time typical of a living archive piece.
- Exterior: The leather shows signs of use consistent with age (slight surface scratches, natural variations in shade, and a beautiful amber patina on the leather). No cuts or tears in the leather. The raw-cut edges show normal wear from rubbing.
- Specific defect on the closure: There are skipped stitches and loose threads on the front closure details (particularly on the vertical tab and the rectangular loop, due to daily use rubbing). The closure remains functional, but the perimeter thread in those spots is partially missing. A defect easily repairable by a shoemaker or leather artisan.
- Interior: The suede lining is clean, free of unpleasant odors or major stains. The vintage metal zipper works perfectly.
