A beautiful lot of 6 bottles of F.X. Pichler Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner 2020, sourced from one of the most renowned wineries in the Austrian Wachau.

F.X. Pichler has for decades been one of Austria’s major reference names. The estate is based in Dürnstein and enjoys international recognition for its Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners, in which ripeness and concentration are combined with the typical freshness and mineral character of the Wachau.

This Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner 2020 is a wonderful introduction to the estate’s style. The grapes come from vineyards around the historic wine town of Dürnstein, where the steep slopes and stony soils along the Danube provide ideal conditions for Grüner Veltliner.

In the glass one can expect a classic Wachau style with ripe apple, pear and citrus, complemented by spicy and slightly peppery notes and a beautiful mineral freshness. The 2020 vintage has already gained a few years of bottle age, allowing the fruit to weave further with more complex and savory nuances.

Storage and condition:
