Sagrasse presents Alcohol Test, a new hand-signed artwork in resin and marble powder measuring 45 × 37 × 5 cm, created in 2025 as Botticelli edition.
Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and chroming.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, driving him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "only" an exemplary technique thus becomes the means to give life to modern pop sculptures, vibrant and ironic. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these stand out the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Center of Art and Culture VERUM, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From craftsman to hallmark of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse demonstrates how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and acknowledged artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly into the lineage of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident due to its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted piece, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of fully manual workmanship.
