Description from the seller

A fantastic collectible piece destined for enthusiasts, devotees, and collectors of sacred art.

This is an official rosary from the pontificate of Leo XIV that features an extraordinary rarity: the inscription of the papal motto impressed on the brown case bears a printing error, with the words IN and ILLO joined together with no space.

These misprinted specimens were distributed exclusively in the very early days following the Pope’s election to a very small number of guests and dignitaries, only to be immediately withdrawn and replaced.

This feature makes the item rare and of notable historical value.

The rosary is composed of refined beads in polished white mother-of-pearl paste, mounted on a solid and gleaming silvered metal clasp.

The central medal depicts the coat of arms of Pope Leo XIV with the Augustinian motto In illo uno unum on the front, while the reverse hosts the effigy of the Virgin Mary, Mater Ecclesiae.

The item was donated in 2025, the Year of the Jubilee of Hope and of the election of May 8 to Leo XIV (Robert Francis Prevost), the first Pope native to the United States of America.

Sale information:

The images and holy cards of the Pope present in the photographs are for illustrative purposes only and are not included in the sale. The item comes from the resizing of a private collection and is sold by a private individual, with no affiliation to the Vatican or other ecclesiastical bodies. Shipping costs include careful and protective packaging.
