Kloster Eberbach Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg & Roseneck, 2023, Grosses Gewächs, Riesling, 2 bottles of 0.75 L from Germany's Rheingau, estate bottled with a fully intact metal capsule and a readable label.
Description from the seller
Kloster Eberbach represents more than 850 years of winemaking tradition. The historic monastery's monks recognized early on that the climatic conditions of the Rheingau region were ideal for producing exceptional wines from locally grown grapes.
The vineyards of the Rüdesheimer Berg trace their origins to historic estates belonging to the Electorate of Mainz, some dating back to the 12th century.
Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg:
A precise, well-defined wine with expressive aromatics: floral notes of lily and jasmine meet fresh herbal nuances. Passion fruit, pineapple, and blood orange lend exotic richness, while subtle reductive notes and a hint of flint add smoky, mineral accents. Precise, complex, and full of vibrant tension and character. Fermentation and ageing took place entirely in stainless steel tanks.
97 P. - James Suckling
Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck:
A warm, fruit-forward character with a delicate hint of young rose petals. Aromas of golden apple, fresh honeydew melon, and juicy nectarine lend the wine charm and an enticing richness. Subtle notes of almond blossom in the background add a touch of floral elegance. Abundant fruit, beautifully balanced – a wine that is both smooth and inviting, yet wonderfully vibrant.
Fermentation was partially spontaneous, with ageing taking place equally in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks – a combination that brings together natural complexity and vibrant freshness.
95 P. - James Suckling
Estate bottled and shipped by Kloster Eberbach. Excellent condition of bottle, label, cork and capsule.
