Description from the seller

The dial: it’s the most striking element of this watch. Lacquered in a flame-burgundy red, almost marbled, with a depth and nuance that shift with the light — a true contrast to the classic white/silver dials of the era. Applied two-tone baton markers (silver and black, “flag” effect), dauphine hands, the inscription “17 JEWELS SHOCKPROOF” at the bottom of the dial. Signature “Estima” in beautiful silver cursive. No stain or discoloration visible despite the age — the lacquer has held up remarkably well.

The movement: manual, 17 jewels, calibre PUW 460 — German manufacture from Pforzheim, renowned for its robust ebauches used by many Central European brands in the mid-20th century. Clean mechanism, neat finishes, the hairspring and balance intact.

The case: stainless steel, engraved back with “SHOCKPROOF — WATERPROOF — STAINLESS STEEL BACK”, knurled crown with gold-tone accents. The inner caseback bears the multilingual original inscriptions (“Pour déboîter le mouvement, enlever le verre” / “To dismantle the movement, lift the crystal” / “Zum Werkausbau Glas abheben”) as well as a German registered model number (“D.B.G.M. Reg. Muster 2207”) — an authenticity detail that confirms origin and era of manufacture (German model registration, typical of the 1950s–60s).

The strap: original leather, patinated, matching pin buckle.

A true Estima that captivates primarily with the rare personality of its dial — a shade and finish seldom seen on watches from this generation — powered by a solid, well-documented German movement.
