Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small town among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and electroplating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to release the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his craft into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are his presence at the Contemporary Art Show “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Art and Culture Center, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From craftsman to sign of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse demonstrates how a life’s experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, vibrant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly within the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the comparison to Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, the irony and the ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handmade work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of wholly manual craftsmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean only with a soft cloth, avoiding detergents.
