AUREL - Afternoon on Still Blue Water - Mixed media on canvas

On a deep blue lake, a young man in a blue sweater rows in a red boat. He turns his head toward us, his gaze grave. Behind him, cypresses and poplars are reflected in the still water, and the hills recede beneath a summer sky. The silence of the scene rests in that look: he is paddling, but we don't know where he’s going, or if he really wants to go there. The reflections turn the surface into a second landscape, even calmer than the first.
A serene and slightly melancholic canvas, for those afternoons that never seem to end.
Mixed technique: acrylic painting on a pigment-ink stamped print, matte varnish.
Varnish applied by hand, for depth of colour and lasting protection of the work.
Support: premium stretched canvas on a wooden frame, ready to hang.

AUREL is one of the creations that brings together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop, and free figuration. Under the name AUREL, the Studio celebrates outdoor light and summer swimming, in the tradition of impressionist knife paintings: bright sun, translucent water, vibrant impasto, and Mediterranean joie de vivre.
AUREL is one of the signatures of Atelier Joconde, where three sensibilities from the studio intersect. Under this name, the Atelier paints suspended moments at the water’s edge: a boat gliding, reflections trembling, a pause between two strokes of the oar. The surface of the lake becomes a second landscape, calmer than the first, in a painting of light and silence..

Galerie Joconde est un atelier familial et un laboratoire de création contemporaine, où trois artistes : Le Yack, Popsan et Neo Pablo, croisent leurs univers pour produire des collections originales. Loin d'une simple galerie de vente, c'est un véritable lieu de production où les styles se lient, se confrontent et donnent naissance à de nouveaux mouvements. L'atelier travaille aussi bien en création collective qu'en démarches individuelles : chaque œuvre proposée peut être le fruit du travail d'un, de deux, ou des trois artistes réunis.
Toutes les œuvres proviennent directement de l'atelier des artistes, sans intermédiaire. Les originaux sont des pièces uniques. Chaque œuvre est signée et accompagnée d'un certificat d'authenticité, et expédiée avec un emballage professionnel adapté au transport international.
