Germany, Rheingau, Kloster Eberbach Erbacher Marcobrunn Riesling Eiswein, vintage 1984, 0.75 L bottle, 1 bottle, Eiswein, estate bottled and shipped by Kloster Eberbach, in original wooden case, with a fully intact metal capsule and a fully intact, readable label.
Description from the seller
Kloster Eberbach represents more than 850 years of winemaking tradition. The historic monastery's monks recognized early on that the climatic conditions of the Rheingau region were ideal for producing exceptional wines from locally grown grapes.
A document dating back to 1390 confirms early vineyard ownership in “Marckinborn” (now "Marcobrunn"), making it one of the oldest monastic vineyards. By 1726, the site had become synonymous with the finest wines of the Rheingau.
The south-facing vineyard has slopes with gradients of up to 25%. Its deep, clay-rich marl soils are characterized by a high limestone content.
"Mahagony colour with brick red hue. Opulent nose, candied sugar, dried plums, caramel, molasses and hints of sundried tomatoes. On the palate massive acidity but balanced by sweetness, enormous freshness, excellent length. Candied sugar and dried plums also on the finish." - Marcus del Monego MW (94 P.)
Estate bottled and shipped by Kloster Eberbach. Excellent condition of bottle, label, cork and capsule.
