Description from the seller
Crimson Winter – La Chibroneuse – Canvas XL
In the silence of a motionless winter, the red refuses to disappear.
Sitting at the edge of an old pavilion, a young woman contemplates the snowy landscape. Her long scarlet outfit stands out with intensity against the white and gray mists, while her parasol extends this red presence at the heart of the cold.
Around her, everything seems frozen: the still water, the traditional architectures lost in the fog, the trees covered in snow. Only a few red touches disturb this apparent monochrome.
With Crimson Winter, La Chibroneuse builds a image between portrait, visual poetry and contemplation, where the warmth of a color becomes almost a feeling.

The artist’s explanation of the work
“I liked the idea of opposing two sensations: the absolute cold of a winter landscape and the almost living power of red.
She does not seem to be waiting for someone. She does not even really look at the landscape. I simply imagine her enjoying this moment when nothing moves, when the world appears to belong to her for a few seconds.
Red then represents what remains alive when everything around seems asleep.”

Advanced mixed technique – A digital goldsmith’s work
La Chibroneuse develops her works through an in-depth digital process blending visual construction, photography, retouching, material treatment and precise lighting work.
In Crimson Winter, particular attention is paid to atmospheric depth. The landscape gradually fades into the mist while the foreground elements retain their textures: old wood, damp stone, embroidered fabric and delicate details of the parasol.
The red is deliberately preserved as the anchoring point of the entire composition. It immediately guides the eye to the young woman before gradually revealing the surrounding architecture and snowy landscape.

A work that speaks to you
Crimson Winter plays on a particularly strong contrast in decoration: the warmth of red against the almost monochrome softness of a winter landscape.
From a distance, the scarlet silhouette immediately becomes the center of the work. As you approach, the eye discovers the embroidery on the garment, the ancient structures, the reflections on the lake and the different planes buried in the fog.
A work that is at once elegant, contemplative and deeply transporting.

About the artist – La Chibroneuse
La Chibroneuse develops a contemporary universe at the border of photography and digital creation.
Her compositions explore femininity, solitude, elegance and escapism through highly crafted scenes. The artist places essential emphasis on contrasts, textures and light to create immediately recognizable images.
Each work seeks less to tell a complete story than to capture a moment — leaving the viewer the freedom to imagine what preceded and what will follow.
