AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Kloster Eberbach represents more than 850 years of winemaking tradition. The historic monastery's monks recognized early on that the climatic conditions of the Rheingau region were ideal for producing exceptional wines from locally grown grapes.

The vineyards of the Rüdesheimer Berg trace their origins to historic estates belonging to the Electorate of Mainz, some dating back to the 12th century. Following the establishment of Prussian rule in 1866, the defeated Duke of Nassau was forced to relinquish his treasures from the Rüdesheim wine cellar.

The name Rottland derives from the Middle High German words “reuten, rotten, roden,” meaning “to clear land for viticulture.”

The predominantly steep, south-facing slopes feature soils composed of weathered quartzite interspersed with layers of slate.

The wine shows a dark golden yellow color; nice herbal and cream nose; concentrated, rich, unctuous, lemon cream, lemon sorbet and lemon honey palate with good acidity and a long finish.

Estate bottled and shipped by Kloster Eberbach. Excellent condition of bottle, label, cork and capsule.

Drink now or hold.
