Miguel de Miguel - La Complicidad XXL

Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has developed a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently resides and creates in Italy.

His painting combines figure and abstraction with a language of its own, where vibrant color, symbolic forms, and deep textures speak of identity, memory, and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures, and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.

With more than four decades of creation, Miguel de Miguel offers a body of work that is not only observed: it is experienced from the most intimate depths. An art that crosses borders, styles, and words.

In this work, Miguel de Miguel constructs an encounter between two human presences that transcend figurative representation to become an expression of a shared energy. The incandescent red and the vibrant green establish a dialogue of tensions and affinities, while the anonymous faces preserve the mystery of identities. The pictorial matter, vigorous and spontaneous, endows the figures with intense vitality. The dark background acts as a space of containment and silence, making the characters emerge as two complementary forces. The painting thus speaks of relationship, of difference, and of that invisible thing that unites human beings.
