Fascinating advertising manifesto for the famous toothpaste “Serodent,” signed by the master of the modern poster, Leonetto Cappiello.
Note: This is a later edition, probably from the 1970s.
The composition, originally dated 1928, depicts an elegant and theatrical female figure, enveloped in a dynamic swirl of blue drapery against an intense red background, as she mirrors herself and takes care of her smile. A strongly iconic and seductive image, perfectly in line with Cappiello’s unmistakable style, characterized by vibrant colors, immediate visual impact, and direct and effective advertising communication.
The poster bears the inscription “Clermont et Fouet – Paris Genève,” the historic producer of the toothpaste, and represents one of the most successful examples of European graphic advertising between Art Deco and modern poster art.
A work of great decorative impact, ideal for collectors of advertising posters, French graphic design, Art Deco, and works by Leonetto Cappiello.
