Description from the seller
ABOUT THE PAINTING
“Beyond the Moon” invites the viewer to imagine what lies beyond the visible and familiar. The moon becomes a symbolic threshold between the world we know and the mysteries we can only sense. The painting explores longing, curiosity and the freedom of imagination, leaving room for each viewer to discover a personal meaning in the journey.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
I am Paulius, an independent artist exploring human nature, spirituality and our relationship with the world through painting, performance, installations and interdisciplinary projects.
I live and work surrounded by nature, with my studio in the centre of the Vepriai meteorite crater in Lithuania. The landscape, its geological history and its connection to the cosmos influence my creative practice. My work brings together spiritual exploration and social themes, inviting viewers to form their own interpretations.
I hold a Master’s degree in Arts and was granted official artist status by the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania in 2014. I have presented over 60 solo exhibitions, installations and performances, and participated in more than 70 group exhibitions, plein-air events and collaborative projects with Lithuanian and international artists. My exhibition history also includes participation in ArtVilnius, Lithuania’s international contemporary art fair, in 2015 and 2025.
