Cast iron Christmas tree stand in Jugendstil / Art Nouveau Art Deco style (Early 20th Century)
Atmospheric and sturdy cast-iron Christmas tree stand, executed in the classic Jugendstil / Art Nouveau Art Deco style. Given the artisanal finish, the materials used and signs of age, this specimen is likely from the early 20th century.
The pyramid-shaped base features an openwork ajour pattern (scales and arches motif) with detailed linear ornaments. The central tube is grooved and rests on a decorative leaf-shaped base. Heavy cast iron with a warm bronze/brass-toned patinated finish.
