Jacques Riffon (XX) - Ruisseau en Haute-Ardenne à l'automne

Jacques Riffon (XXe) - Stream in Haute-Ardenne in autumn - Oil on canvas

Detailed description

Very beautiful and luminous oil painting on canvas depicting a wild stream winding through a forest of conifers and deciduous trees with the vibrant autumn colors.
This work faithfully follows the tradition of the Liège School of Landscape. The artist shows excellent mastery of texture and painterly touch, capturing with finesse the reflections of the changing sky on the calm water and the softness of the bluish hills in the background.
The painting is presented in its significant original molded and gilded wooden frame, adorned with rich floral motifs and curls in the corners. This prestigious frame beautifully enhances the composition and gives great presence to the whole.
