Description from the seller
This Seiko watch with reference number SSH183J1 belongs to the Astron collection and is a limited edition with a worldwide production of 1,200 pieces.
The Seiko 5X83 caliber is a prestigious analog GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph. The case and bracelet are both made of titanium. The watch has a diameter of 43.4 mm and has been tested for a water resistance of 10 ATM / 100 meters. The sapphire crystal completes this watch.
This watch can, with a simple press of a button, set itself anywhere in the world to the correct time zone and thereby display the correct local time. On the dial the GPS signal indicator shows whether the watch is connecting to the global GPS network. It also shows how many satellites the watch is connecting with. For determining the correct time zone, a connection with at least 4 satellites is required. If the watch is fully charged, it makes satellite connections up to 2 times per day with a single satellite to correct the time. This makes the Seiko 5X83 GPS Solar watch extremely accurate and the watch has an deviation of only 1 second per 100,000 years. If necessary, the local time can also be changed manually. The smart Perpetual Calendar function ensures that the watch always shows the correct date up to the year 2100. The watch features a Dual-Time, in-flight mode, an automatic DST adjustment and the watch includes a chronograph function. The stopwatch can measure up to 12 hours in steps of 1/20 second. A lap function is provided. A second time is displayed on the subdial on the dial and a separate AM/PM indicator. The built-in watch micro-GPS receiver consumes so little energy that all functions operate optimally on light energy produced by the solar dial.
