Description from the seller
This Art Deco style crucifix in heavy brass features geometric lines and typical angular contours. The crucified Christ is depicted on a cross with widened and faceted arms, topped by a cruciform halo adorned with translucent red enamel inserts and the INRI inscription engraved at the top. The reverse side of the piece reveals a very meticulous chasing work with a rich decoration of raised floral motifs as well as the religious inscription "PRIEZ POUR NOUS" clearly engraved across the horizontal bar. The object measures 42 cm in height, 25.5 cm in width and 4 cm in depth. Its individual and total weight is approximately 1400 g. This piece bears no apparent artist signature or foundry hallmark, apart from the decorations and text markings integrated into the casting. The item remains in good overall condition for its age, showing a natural antique patina with slight localized green oxidation as well as normal wear marks that bear witness to its authenticity. Shipping is exclusively reserved for mainland European Union member countries, and no delivery can be guaranteed to island destinations or overseas territories.
