Description from the seller
This decorative paperweight or block made of solid transparent crystal and sculpted in the shape of a polygonal obelisk celebrates the historical heritage and institutions of the city of Liège. Its pyramidal structure shelters a stunning three-dimensional intaglio engraving in its center representing the famous Perron of Liège, the historical symbol of the city's liberties. The front face is also adorned with a refined engraving depicting the official coat of arms of the city of Liège topped by the letters LG. This unique commemorative piece, produced in 1973, features an institutional attribution engraving under its base reading "Socolie ALE ALG 1973 VSL", proving it was a prestigious custom commission to mark the corporate history of the Liège electricity and gas intermunicipal utilities. The object measures 17 cm in height, with a width of 8 cm and a depth of 9 cm. Its individual and total weight is 1000 g. This item still retains its original golden paper label reading "Val Saint Lambert Belgique Déposé" affixed near the bottom, and the VSL signature is acid-etched under the base. The piece is in excellent condition, beautifully preserving its absolute transparency and the clear brightness of high-end crystal. Shipping is exclusively reserved for mainland European Union member countries, and no delivery can be guaranteed to island destinations or overseas territories.
