Description from the seller
An ornate, heavy cast Rococo Revival style trinket jewelry box, dating from the early-to-mid 20th century. This beautifully crafted piece features high-relief embossed details across all surfaces. The hinged lid is decorated with a dense, striking pattern of blooming chrysanthemums, surrounded by a delicate leaf-bordered trim. The sides and front face are adorned with classical scrollwork, vines, and beautifully rendered faces of cherubs (putti).
Supported by four elegant integrated corner feet, this box serves as an exquisite decorative accent piece for a vanity, desk, or dresser.
• Material: Heavy cast brass (with an authentic, naturally aged dark patina)
• Estimated Period: Mid-20th Century (circa 1940s–1960s)
• Style: Rococo / Renaissance Revival
• Region of Origin: Western Europe (likely Belgium, France, or Germany)

• Overall Structural Condition: Good / Fair vintage condition. The body, feet, and main lid casting are structurally sound, completely intact, and free of cracks or major dents. The metal shows a beautiful, authentic aged patina with minor surface wear consistent with age.
