AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Vintage faience coupe/tazza dish from the well-known Belgian earthenware manufacturer Hubert Bequet (Quaregnon), made in the mid-20th century (circa 1950s-1960s).
This tazza combines the classic Delft blue style with the luxurious look of the Hollywood Regency era. The interior of the bowl is hand-painted with a detailed floral motif and the upper leaves are in bas-relief with a central peacock.
The most striking feature is the two symmetrical, sculptural handles shaped like dragon-snakes.
The dish sits on an elegant, slender foot and the edges are refined with a gold trim.

Specifications:
Size: width 40, length 32.5 & height about 23 cm.
• Manufacturer: Hubert Bequet (Stamped on the underside)
• Origin: Quaregnon, Belgium
• Period: 1950s / 1960s (Mid-Century Modern)
• Material: Ceramic / Faience (Hand-painted & Gilded)
• Decoration: Blue-and-white floral and bird motif with gold accents
• Style: Hollywood Regency / Vintage Chic

Good overall condition: some gold has worn off in places on the dragons (likely from polishing: see photos)
There has also been some touch-up on the back side of the peacock (photo 13: between the gold and the feathers)
