Subject and Theme:
“Forbidden Taste” is a contemporary pop work that transforms a simple, sensual gesture into a provocative, ironic, and instantly recognizable image.
At the center of the composition, an open mouth welcomes a ripe raspberry, rendered with a deliberately intense and tactile finish. The image plays on the boundary between desire, pleasure, and temptation, turning the fruit into a true visual symbol.
The dark background, enriched with decorative patterns and symbols linked to luxury and money, creates a stark contrast with the central subject and adds another layer of interpretation: desire is not only physical but also symbolic, aesthetic, and material.
Technique and Creation:
The work is realized on a rigid Forex backing of 1 cm, with high-definition printing and a protective finish on the front.
The visual protagonist is the large blue LED outline, which follows the shape of the mouth and ends at the lower part of the composition with a thinner illuminated line.
The cold light of the LED creates a strong contrast with the red and violet tones of the subject, amplifying the depth of the image and transforming the painting when it is lit.

“Forbidden Taste” arises from the idea of transforming desire into an image.
