Collection of 16 volumes from the famous series “In Bocca,” published in Palermo by Edizioni Il Vespro from 1976 and later by Edikronos. It is one of the most sought-after Italian cookery book series by collectors, both in Italy and abroad.

Each volume tells the cuisine of a region with traditional recipes, proverbs, poems, and texts in dialect, translated into Italian and English. Even as an object, the books are unique: printed on straw paper, bound in corrugated cardboard with silkscreened covers, illustrated with color plates and in black and white.

The lot includes 16 of the 20 titles in the series, one volume per region, no duplicates:

Conditions: excellent. Clean covers and well-preserved, hinges intact, clean pages, no writings or underlinings. Slight wear at the corners, normal for corrugated cardboard. [Add here any minor defects, such as the small tear on the edge of a back cover.] One volume still bears the original price sticker in lire.

To complete the series, Friuli e Trieste, Milano, Sicilia and Veneto are missing.
