Description from the seller
Subject and Theme:
“Golden Star V.1 & Power Up V.1” is a lot composed of two luminous works inspired by two of the most iconic symbols of Super Mario’s video game mythology.
The first work, Golden Star V.1, pays homage to the legendary Golden Superstar, the absolute symbol of energy, magic, and invincibility. The star rises against a light blue background that enhances its brightness and cartoon aesthetic. The yellow LED profile traces its edges with precision, giving the image a striking pop and three-dimensional effect.
The second work, Power Up V.1, is devoted to the famous Red Mushroom (Super Mushroom), one of the most recognizable and beloved elements of the arcade universe. The subject is depicted on a neutral background that highlights its essential, stylized shape, while the bright red LED emphasizes its profile, accentuating its stage presence and visual impact.
Together, the two pieces create an immediate dialogue between light, nostalgia, and pop culture, giving life to a lively, playful lot with a strong decorative character.
Technique and Creation:
The works are realized on 1 cm Forex board, with a high-definition painting-like finish and a transparent protective and scratch-resistant resin coating on the front, designed to ensure brightness and durability over time.
In Golden Star V.1, the integrated yellow Neon effect LED perfectly follows the star’s profile, turning it into a luminous and engaging element.
In Power Up V.1, the red LED highlights the mushroom’s profile and amplifies its iconic character, giving the piece a pop and contemporary presence.
Each piece is handcrafted in Italy, finished by hand, signed, numbered, and accompanied by an authenticity certificate.
Inspiration and Curiosity:
Golden Star V.1 originates as a homage to the mythical Super Star, one of the most famous power-ups in video game history. A symbol of positive energy, speed, and invincibility, it is reinterpreted here in a luminous and artistic key, preserving its evocative power.
Power Up V.1 instead celebrates the Super Mushroom, a universal element of arcade culture, instantly recognizable by generations of enthusiasts. In this artistic version, the red mushroom becomes a contemporary pop object, capable of uniting memory, play, and design.
The lot thus represents a perfect tribute to two icons of video game culture, transformed into luminous works designed for those who love the gaming world, pop aesthetics, and collectible objects that can engage with space.
