mru.gru - Hidden - Portrait of Hands

Mru.gru (Julia Słomińska, born 1972, Szczecin, Poland) is a contemporary artist whose work is rooted in the tradition of the 20th century. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The artist's works are characterized by a personal approach to the heritage of great masters, attention to detail and message. She is currently interested in the male portrait, character study, and the male nude.

The painting is executed on a painting panel. A moving contemporary portrait with extraordinary expressiveness of the hands that cover the model's face, creating an atmosphere of mystery. The contrast between warm skin tones and the deep, cool, textured background gives the composition a three-dimensional quality and a magnetic character. Thick, visible brushstrokes and a rich impasto texture emphasize the artwork's unique character.

The painting fits perfectly into both modern and classical interiors.
