1 volume in-4 (25.5 x 19.5 cm), half calf (19th-century binding), gilded spine, [4]-709-[1] pages (complete volume). Fronts rubbed, foxing, tear to plate XIX (no loss). Reasonable condition.

Volume VIII only illustrated with 40 engraved plates, vignette on the title page in the original edition.

This monumental dictionary brings together the knowledge of the time on land management, crops, breeding, estate economy and veterinary care. Notable scholars such as Antoine Parmentier or Chaptal contributed.

The original edition began to appear in 1781 with the publisher Serpente. The complete collection comprises 12 volumes.
