Expressive decorative sculpture of a male torso made of heavy terracotta (fired clay).
The depiction adheres to classical Greco-Roman sculptures and is intentionally designed as a fragment. The missing head as well as the fragmented arms and legs give the object the character of an archaeological find.
Particularly beautiful is the strongly textured, patinated surface with deliberately executed aging and wear traces. This gives the sculpture an authentic, raw aura and makes it excellent for classical as well as modern interiors, mid-century interiors, ateliers, or collections of decorative art objects.
The piece is made of terracotta and not plaster and weighs about 2.3 kg for its size, quite massive.
