Icon - Bruno Bertoldini - Glass - Madonna and Child

Madonna with Child signed by Bruber, the pseudonym of the Venetian glass master and artist Bruno Bertoldini (born 1931), renowned for his artistic works on Murano glass, mirrors and panels incised with inserts in gold and enamels. The cursive inscription on a golden background reproduces the typical signature used by the artist to authenticate his raised works or on a plate. The work features a material/decorative technique in an antique style, attributable to Murano production in the twentieth century.

The complete piece shows a splendid Madonna with Child set within an arched niche with a pointed arch, finely filigreed and enriched by strong splashes of cobalt blue enamel and gold leaf applications.

To embellish the piece, the presence of the original frame, a velvet/wood frame contemporaneous with the period.
