Natura morta floreale con mele, dated 1931, oil on panel, overall 46.5 x 38 cm with frame, painting 42 x 33 cm, by German School artist Schröter, signed, original edition, Impressionism, in good condition, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Oil on a wooden panel created in 1931 by the artist P. Schröter. The work is a classic still life ("Blumenstillleben") depicting a bright arrangement of flowers inside a reddish vase, accompanied in the foreground by a few apples and a small potted plant, all highlighted by a golden frame. On the painted surface the artist's signature followed by the dating "31" is clearly visible, indicating the year of execution. The support consists of a solid wooden panel, the grain of which is clearly visible even when viewing the back of the painting.
The overall dimensions of the work, including the frame, are 46.5 x 38 cm, while the painting alone measures 42 x 33 cm. The condition shows generally wear consistent with the object's age; specifically, a pre-existing superficial tear in the wood on the front (recto) side is noted. Buyers are therefore invited to carefully examine the attached photographs to assess all details.
Note for buyers: the item falls within art and antique objects of historical significance placed on the EU market before 13/12/2024.
