This kinetic work is a bold meeting between two visions of Napoleon, mixing tradition and modernity. On one side, it presents an era painting that depicts Napoleon on horseback, in all the grandeur and classicism that characterize the Imperial portraits of the Emperor.
On the other side, we discover a contemporary and subversive interpretation of Banksy, who reimagines Napoleon with his provocative style and ironic touch. These two universes, as opposite as they are complementary, overlap and intertwine in a surprising visual game, giving rise to a piece that is at once poetic, dynamic, and decidedly current.
This dialogue between history and modernity invites the viewer to reflect on the evolution of symbols and myths, paying homage to the timeless impact of this iconic figure.
Practice the agamograph: "The term Agamograph derives from the artist Yaacov Gibstein, known as "Agam". This Israeli visual artist established himself in France in the 1950s and is part of the kinetic art movement. In general, kinetic art is characterized by works that involve movement, produced by natural elements or by a motor. Yaacov Gibstein leans toward an inverted approach. In his works it is the movement of the spectator that induces movement. In the work, meaning that depending on where we stand, we will not perceive the same thing. His work is impressive for its precision and aesthetics; he does not neglect any detail and goes until 8:00 PM to assemble a painting, creates a museum-quality print of two different photos, and mounts them on a mold he invented himself. Once the work is finished, he sends it to a varnishing booth to protect it from UV rays.
This piece is sold framed, hand-signed, ready to hang. Shipping includes insurance in 4x4 transport boxes to minimize any risk."
