Description from the seller
mechanical open-face pocket watch from the Swiss brand Moeris. The watch has a white dial with black Arabic numerals for the 12-hour and 24-hour indications. At the 6 o'clock position there is a subsidiary seconds hand. The dial is in a particularly clean condition and the text Moeris / Swiss Made is clearly legible.
The outer case back opens to a metal dust cover (cuvette) with the inscription "Ancre de Precision". Around this text are eight medals engraved, referring to the prizes the manufacturer won at exhibitions at the time. The case back closes snugly against the case.
Under the dust cover sits a mechanical hand-wound movement, marked Moeris Caliber 718 (16B). The movement is fitted with 15 jewels (ruby bearings) and is signed Moeris / Swiss Made. The mechanism is visually clean, free of rust, and shows the original finish with an adjustable balance (A/R). The watch runs well and keeps accurate time.
