Two-piece antique cutlery set from 1940–1950 with metal handles and steel blades, presented in its original case with a champagne-gold satin interior.
Description from the seller
Antique carving set consisting of two pieces (a large knife and a long three-pronged fork), presented in its original case with a satin fabric interior in a gold/champagne color.
Ideal for carving legs of lamb, roasts, and poultry, or for collectors of fine tableware.
• Style: Louis XVI, elegant decorations of pearl borders, crossed ribbons and garlands of foliage.
• Materials: Handles worked in silver-plated metal (no distinct hallmark apparent). The blades and the upper parts of the cutlery are in steel.
• Dimensions: The knife measures about 32 cm in total length (the fork about 28 cm).
• Total weight (excluding box): 248 grams on the scale.
• Condition: Good overall aesthetic condition for this antique set. For complete transparency: a tiny imperfection is present on the fork handle (very discreet, see photos), and the exterior case shows some signs of wear that attest to its authenticity. The handles have a charming patina of age.
