Napoleon III / Louis-seize - Table - Wood - Guéridon with marble top

Antique French flower table (guéridon), Napoleon III / Louis XVI style from a family estate

Round side table with a white stone top (marble or similar), a surrounding brass gallery, and floral decoration on the case and the lower shelf. Elaborate floral marquetry (wood inlay) with fine engraved details, partially color-accented. Three curved legs with gilded bronze mounts (flower/fruit pendants).

According to the assessment by Geza Lévi, Hargesheimer Kunstauktionen Düsseldorf GmbH: “The flower table is a piece of furniture in the French style (Napoleon III / Louis XVI).”

Dimensions: Height approx. 75.5 cm • Top diameter approx. 40 cm • Stand width approx. 48 cm

Condition: Signs of age and use, as visible in the photos, including fine cracks in the veneer on the legs, light stains on the stone top, and signs of age and wear on the metal fittings. Since the table has been in my possession, no repairs have been carried out. I cannot provide information about possible earlier restorations.
